Hopkinton Police Log: Weed Solicitor, OUI Arrest

Thursday, June 28
1:50 p.m.: A person went to the Police Department reporting stolen property.
2:27 p.m.: A 911 caller reported her vehicle was broken into on the bike path parking lot. Milford police were notified and dispatched.

5:16 p.m.: A caller reported that a vehicle pulling out of a business on West Main Street hit her from behind, causing minor damage, and then took off. Police searched the area for the vehicle, with negative results.
Friday, June 29

3:42 p.m.: Police received multiple 911 calls for a struck deer in the roadway on West Main Street. Police responded and removed the deer. There was significant damage to the vehicle.
6:04 p.m.: A caller from South Street reported hearing gunshots. Police responded and checked the area. A resident reported the gunshots may have been coming from a local gun club. Police checked the area gun clubs.
6:33 p.m.: A caller reported several youths driving around an electric scooter on Briarcliff Drive and causing an annoyance. Police checked the area with negative results.
Saturday, June 30
12:34 a.m.: Probation faxed police a warrant for violation of probation (ankle monitor) for a party who lives on Mayhew Street. Police responded and arrested Kyle Hangos, 21, of 22 Mayhew St., Hopkinton. He was charged on a probation violation warrant.
8:39 a.m.: A 911 caller reported he and his dog were attacked by another dog on North Mill Street while out walking. Animal Control was notified and made contact with the owner.
8:56 a.m.: A caller reported a moving truck took down wires on Clinton Street. The Fire Department notified Nstar and Verizon. Police set up cones to assist traffic until Verizon got there.
6:12 p.m.: A motorist reported that there were a couple of crow bars in the roadway on Hayden Rowe Street. Police checked up to the town line and found nothing.
Sunday, July 1
9:55 a.m.: A caller complained about noise on Holt Street and requested police check the work site. Police responded and were advised that the contractor was done moving equipment.
11:23 a.m.: A person went to the Police Department and told police his/her son was approached at theon Cedar Street and asked if he wanted to buy some marijuna. Police checked the area.
5:19 p.m.: Police pulled over a vehicle on Clinton Street and requested a K9 unit.
7:17 p.m.: A Yale Road resident reported he was threatened by a neighbor. Police responded and arrested Willard R. Dumais, 48, of 87 Downey St., Hopkinton. He was charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
9:06 p.m.: A resident reported fireworks going off in the Spring Street neighborhood.
