Hopkinton Police Log: Protective Custody, Legacy Farms Violation

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Friday, Dec. 14

12:50 p.m.: A caller reported people on the property of condemned house on Meserve Street. An officer spoke to the person who was removing scrap metal with the contractor’s permission. The person was asked to return at a later date with the contractor.

1:58 p.m.: An officer helped the Hopkinton Fire Department enter a home on School Street.

4:15 p.m.: A caller reported that he was almost hit by a vehicle that ran a red light on Main Street.

5:16 p.m.: A caller reported a woman who constantly texts and drives on Fenton Street.

6:37 p.m.: Two vehicles were towed after a crash on Hayden Rowe Street.

Saturday, Dec. 15

4:16 p.m.: Multiple callers reported a youth that had just driven his vehicles on the athletic fields on Greenwood Drive. Officers responded and spoke to the youth they also reported no damage to the fields.

Sunday, Dec. 16

4:05 p.m.: A vehicle crashed in to a telephone pole on Wood Street. At least one person was taken to the hospital.

Monday, Dec. 16

1:18 a.m.: A caller from Angelo Drive reported footsteps on their deck and someone ringing their doorbell. Officers from the Hopkinton Police Department searched the area but did not find anyone.

4:22 a.m.: Officers responded to a vehicle out of gas at Weston Nurseries. Upon arrival they took one person in to protective custody and towed the vehicle.

6:24 a.m.: An officer issued a citation to work crews who had started construction at Legacy Farms too early.

7:44 a.m.: Officers responded to a vehicle off the roadway on East Main Street. No injuries were reported.
