Hopkinton School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Early Release Days

HOPKINTON, MA – Record scratch, school can't be right around the corner, can it? It's still a ways away, but these things have a knack for sneaking up on you during the dog days of summer. The first day of school for grades 1-12 is Aug. 30.

The 2017-18 school calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here's a list of dates to know for the fall semester:

August

30 – Classes Begin for Grades 1 – 12
31 – Classes Begin for Kindergarten and Pre-K

September

1 – NO SCHOOL, Holiday Weekend
4 – NO SCHOOL, Labor Day
15 – Early Release, All Schools
21 – NO SCHOOL, Rosh Hashanah

October

9 – NO SCHOOL, Columbus Day
20 – Early Release, All Schools
23 – No AM Preschool

November

3 – Early Release, Elementary K-5 (parent conf.)
10 – NO SCHOOL, Veterans Day
17 – Early Release, Elementary K-5 (parent conf.)
22 – Early Dismissal, All Schools
23 & 24 – NO SCHOOL, Thanksgiving Break

December

1 – Early Release, Elementary K-5 (parent conf.)
22 – Last Day of Classes, Winter Break
25 - 29 – NO SCHOOL, Winter Break
