Hopkinton Town Election Results: Degan for Town Clerk, Tedstone and Wright Win Selectmen Seats

Here are the results of Hopkinton's town election.

HOPKINTON, MA—Hopkinton held its annual town election on Monday, May 16.

Here are the unofficial results:

Brendan T. Tedstone, with 1,249 votes, and Claire B. Wright, with 1,104 votes, won the two selectmen seats.

Thomas J. Garabedian edged out Bruce G. Karlin for town moderator with 889 votes to Karlin's 812. Connor B. Degan will take the three-year town clerk position, winning with 1,115 votes.

Mary Jo LaFreniere was uncontested in her run for Board of Assesors seat, and pulled in 1,371 votes.

Jennifer C. Flanagan won the Board of Health seat, with 804 votes beating 795 for Philip Cohen.

The Board of Library Trustees candidates were uncontested, as was Cemetery Commissioner, Commissioner of the Trust Fund, Planning Board and School Committee member.

Michael Hayes won a one-year constable position with 827 votes.

Nancy E. Kelleigh was the overwhelming favorite for the five-year Housing Authority position, pulling in 932 votes.

It was a very tight race for Parks and Recreation Commissioner, with Kelly W. Karp winning over F. Eric Sonnett, 868 to 836.
