Fast forward a week or so and Snappy Dogs owner, Teresa Boyce receives a phone call from a man in a 212 area code.
“I don’t know where he was from, exactly,” Boyce said. “But he started the conversation with, ‘I know this may sound strange, but I was driving home and stopped at a rest stop on the Merritt Parkway and found a wallet. There is a Snappy Dog card inside and the name Zach on the wallet. Do you know who it belongs to?’”

The mystery caller did note that the name Zach was written on the outside of the wallet.
"He seemed certain it was a kid's wallet," Boyce said.
"I immediately posted on Facebook 'Calling all Kyles, (due to some confusion,)… I have the number of a man who has your wallet,'" Boyce said.
Amy Burns Ritterbusch, who is Zach’s mom and had traveled with the Scouts that weekend responded saying her son had lost his wallet, but his name was Zach and not Kyle.
“We drove on the Merritt Parkway last weekend with the Boy Scouts," Ritterbusch said. “My son lost his wallet, which had a Snappy Dogs card in it, but his name is Zach. There was also a boy named Kyle on the trip with us."
Once the name confusion was sorted out, Ritterbusch and Zach called the man who said he found the wallet, but they have been unable to connect and still do not have the wallet in their posession.
“Usually people call to place an order," Boyce said. “But sometimes people call when they find a wallet with a Snappy card in it.”
