Hundreds of Families to Gather in Uxbridge to Celebrate Loved Ones with Down Syndrome
2nd Annual Buddy Walk and Harvest Fair in Uxbridge

Burlington, MA – The Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC) has set an ambitious fundraising goal of $100,000 for its 2nd Annual Buddy Walk & Harvest Fair on Sunday, Sept. 21. The Buddy Walk came to Central Massachusetts for the first time last September at an inaugural event that was hugely successful, raising awareness in the region while also raising upwards of $60,000 for critical programs and services that ensure that all individuals with Down syndrome are valued, included, and given the opportunities to pursue fulfilling lives. The autumn event once again will be held at beautiful River Bend Farm in Uxbridge, where we plan to welcome more than 500 people, including individuals with Down syndrome, family members and friends. This celebration is an old-fashioned country fair-themed walk with a picturesque farmland setting. The 1-mile walk route is along a winding river, and the event will include family fun activities, field games, children’s music and entertainment, refreshments and much more!
