Despite a late-innings comeback, the Holliston Tri-Valley Baseball League 13-year-old A team dropped a 16-15 slugfest Wednesday night.
The Holliston Tri-Valley Baseball League 13-year-old A team lost to Medway B, 16-15, Wednesday night at Medway's Idylbrook Field.
Trailing by as many as six runs, Holliston rallied in the late innings to tie the game at 15 in the top of the seventh inning. But in the bottom of the seventh, Medway scored on a safety squeeze play for a walkoff win. The leadoff batter singled and stole second and moved to third on a sacrifice fly before taking home on a well-executed squeeze bunt.
Holliston A heads back to Idylbrook Field Friday night at 5:30 p.m., when it plays Medway A.
