The weather finally cooperated, allowing the children a chance to compete at the Holliston High track.

After the last two track meets were washed out, the kids finally got to show their running skills Monday evening at .

Despite overcast skies, the rain held off to allow a number of children to compete in the latest in a weekly series of .

Coordinated by Paul Mangan and Mike Tyman, the competitions began on July 11 and are held at 6 p.m. every Monday (aside from the two rain-outs) until August 8.

Kids three years old and up can participate in 50-meter, 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter races and a 4x100-meter relay.

The costs is $1 to participate. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. and the races start at 6 p.m. Ribbons are awarded to the top three finishers in each race.
