A Hopkinton trifecta is realized as the Tondorf 10 -year -olds win their divison on the heels of the Tondorf 11 and 9 year old wins.
Hopkinton's 10- year -old Tondorf team went into the playoffs ranked as the fifth seed out of eight teams in Medway's elite Tondorf Tournament.
After winning their first game against Bellingham, they were faced with playing the number one ranked Dover Sherborn.
With Hopkinton edging out Dover Sherborn in a 6-5 shootout, they were heading to the championship in a best of three series over Ashland, the second seed team.

"The game against Dover Sherborn was one of the most exciting games I have ever coached", said Head Coach Mike Scire.
After dropping the first game to Ashland with a score of 17-4, Hopkinton had their backs up against the wall. They came out strong the next night and beat Ashland 18-6 gaining momentum heading into the final game.

In a game where the score went back and forth for five straight innings, Hopkinton edged out Ashland in the top of the sixth to win by a score of 10-8.
This win marked a sweep for Hopkinton with the 9, 10 and 11- year -old Tondorf teams all winning in Medway, an accomplishment rarely seen these days, according to Mike Scire.
