ISRAELI ART SHOW COMES TO FRAMINGHAM NOVEMBER 13-16, 2014
Temple Beth Am, Framingham MA, in conjunction with the renowned Safrai Fine Art Gallery of Jerusalem, and Morph Events, proudly presents an exhibition and sale of “Young and Old Masters of Israeli Art”. The Israeli art world is known for its extraordinary versatility in style and media. Being a nation of immigrants, its art reflects that diversity. Each artist brings forward their own heritage and background into the melting pot of the Israeli art scene.
The exhibition will include over 1500 works of art by over 100 Israeli artists such as Marc Chagall, Shraga Weil, Amram Ebgi, Shemuel Katz, Moshe Castel, Reuven Rubin, Raphael Abecassis and many more. Media include serigraphs, woodcuts, lithographs, etchings, monotypes, original oils and watercolors. Menachem Safrai, the director of the Safrai Gallery, will be available throughout the exhibition to assist visitors.
The exhibition and sale will feature a special Patron’s Night on Thursday, November 13, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. This Patron’s evening allows attendees to have a first viewing of the art and will feature appetizers and cocktails. Ari Winograd, the executive assistant to the Israeli Consul General of Boston is attending and many local and state dignitaries were invited. Open gallery hours will continue on Friday, November 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, Saturday November 15, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m and on Sunday November 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday evening will also feature desserts and a cash bar. There is also a raffle to win one of four posters which Safrai Gallery donated.
