It's Apple-Picking Time in Holliston

This week, we spoke with Alex Marcoaldi, farm manager at Highland Farm.

How many years have you been in business? How did you get started?
12 years. The property was previously a farm and it sat dormant for four years. The owner wanted to restore it to a working farm.

Do you live in town? Yes

What do you like best about owning/running this business? I just like to be outdoors and this is the perfect job for that.

Are you on Facebook or Twitter? Yes, both

Any advice for someone new to the business? My advice would be do your research; don't jump in feet first. There are lot of resources out there but there are some things you can't find and you just have to do a little trial and error to see what fits best for you.

What do your customers like best about your business? I think they like that they can come here and get top quality products at reasonable prices.
