Based on the children’s book written by Harry G. Allard and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, the play is a comedy about the wild elementary students in room 207 and their sweet teacher, who comes up with a plan to teach students some tough love. The production is being directed by teacher-advisors, Erin Bengiovanni, Valerie Rector, and Paul Kelley.
Established in January 2009, the Keefe Drama Club is open to students in all grade levels and acting experience is not required to join the club. In addition to offering students the opportunity to act and learn technical and backstage skills, the drama club teaches students about teamwork and creativity, and helps build confidence and friendships within the club.
