I know what you're thinking. This recipe doesn't seem to go with the name of this blog. But here are my rules about dessert:
1. I believe in moderation, so it's not an every night thing for us. In fact, I only make something like this as a special treat.
2. I also think if dessert is made from mostly healthy ingredients, it's probably not that bad (in moderation).
So, that's how I got away with posting this skillet cookie recipe. It's definitely rich enough to fall into the moderation category, but it's loaded with dried fruit, nuts, dark chocolate, peanut butter and oats. I'm hoping that cancels out the calories.
If you haven't discovered the skillet cookie yet, you're in for a treat. Give it a try the next time you're having company and want something sweet but on the (slightly) healthier side.
