MA FY2019 Budget: What Did Holliston, Hopkinton Get?
The budget includes funding for addiction prevention, veteran assistance and more.

HOLLISTON-HOPKINTON, MA—With Governor Charlie Baker's FY2019 budget submitted, it now has passed the House and sits in the Senate for approval.

Final budget totals for MetroWest Cities and Towns include several line items for Holliston and Hopkinton, according to Sen. Karen Spilka.

- $150,000 for Holliston School Stop Opioid Addiction Before it Starts Program (4512-0205)
- $100,000 for improvements to the Holliston Senior Center (9110-9002)
- $45,000 for Post Naloxone Treatment Program (4512-0205)
- Chapter 70 - $7,521,070 - $79,590 (1.07%) increase over FY18 GAA
- Unrestricted General Government Aid - $1,601,175 - $54,146 (3.5%) increase over FY18 GAA

- $75,000 for substance abuse prevention at Hopkinton High School (7010-0005)
- $10,000 to assist veterans transition to law enforcement (1410-0010)
- Chapter 70 - $6,839,15 - $582,193 (9.3%) increase over FY18 GAA
- Unrestricted General Government Aid - $812,229 - $27,467 (3.5%) increase over FY18 GA

- $100,000 for United Way of Tri-County's Call 2 Talk program (4513-1026)
- $100,000 for a transportation program operated by SMOC to assist people in getting to work (4401-1000)
- $100,000 for SMOC's Opioid Crisis Response program (4512-0200)
- $50,000 for Serenity House in Framingham (4512-0205)
- $50,000 for MetroWest Veterans District (1410-0010)
- $100,000 for Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center (4000-0014)
- $50,000 for Commercial Driver's License workforce program operated by the MetroWestRegional Transit Authority (7003-0100)
- $15,000 for MetroFest (7008-0900)
- $100,000 for 495/MetroWest Partnership (7008-0900)
