Medway 3, Holliston 2: Boys Tennis Team Can't Collar Mustangs

The Holliston boys tennis team dropped a Tri-Valley League match at Goodwill Park Friday afternoon.

A win at second doubles lifted the Medway boys tennis squad to a 3-2 Tri-Valley League victory over host Holliston at Friday afternoon.

Holliston's second doubles team of James Lefevbre and Tim Murcko battled hard before dropping the last set in a 7-5, 1-6, 5-7 loss.

Henry Lively won 6-1, 6-3 at first singles and David Bunker rolled to a 6-2, 7-5 victory at second singles, but the Panthers slipped to 2-3 overall and in the TVL.

Will Foster lost at third singles, falling in 6-7 (2-7), 5-7 in the closest match of the day.

The first doubles team of Kyle Anderson and Wesley Knapp suffered a 4-6, 2-6 loss.

Holliston has a busy schedule next week, playing all five days due to make-ups. The Panthers host Westwood on Monday, host Ashland on Tuesday, visit Hopkinton on Wednesday, visit Medfield on Thursday and host Medfield on Friday. All five matches are at 3:45 p.m.
