College-bound seniors: time is running out to apply for scholarships.
The good news is there are a growing number of programs to consider, even if your grades aren't the tops.
Holliston Youth Lacrosse Association, for instance, has a new scholarship, based on criteria such as community involvement and time with the program. The deadline is April 30.
But there are many others to investigate, and they are often sponsored by chambers of commerce, fire and police departments, and local arts organizations. Holliston High School publishes a list on its guidance page.
My advice is to do it soon. Deadlines for most scholarships will be here before graduation. Happy hunting!
