Obituaries: Carmen Morales, Charles Dever, Michael McLaughlin, Louise Tedstone

Hopkinton lost four longtime residents last week.

Carmen Morales, 89, of Hopkinton, died Monday, November 19. Born in Cuba, she had lived in Hopkinton since 1957, and was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband Antonio in 2008, and is survived by two sons, three granddaughters, and three great-grandsons. She was buried on Saturday, November 24 in Evergreen Cemetery.

Charles T. Dever, 73, of Hopkinton, died Tuesday, November 20. He was born in Philadelphia, and was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Beverly, three children and three grandchildren. He will be buried in a private service at Bourne National Cemetery.

Michael Peter McLaughlin, 24, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 20. He was a lifelong resident of Hopkinton who was working toward a career in law enforcement.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Laura, sister Marie, and birth brother David Johnson, as well as an extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery on November 26.

Louise E. Tedstone, 85, of Hopkinton, died Wednesday, November 21. Born in Natick, she was a graduate of Natick High School and the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. She was an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts and 4H

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, who died in 1992, four daughters, six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery.
