On the Edge Gallery is Now Open

The On the Edge Gallery will be open from Sept. 30 to Oct. 28.

On the Edge, an art exhibition juried by Jane Young of Chase Young Gallery in Boston and featuring photographs, paintings, prints, sculptures and encaustic art by 35 local artists, will take place September 30 – October 28 at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts at 98 Hayden Rowe, Hopkinton.  The show is sponsored by the Cultural Arts Alliance and exhibit hours at the CAA Gallery are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on weekends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The exhibition is free and open to the public.     

“We asked artists to interpret what ‘On the Edge’ meant to them and have been awestruck by the results,” said Kris Waldman, director of the CAA.  “There are a many unusual and moving pieces in this show and a lot of creative energy here, which makes for a very memorable exhibition."

The Cultural Arts Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating an alliance between the arts and the community by providing individual and shared forums for artistic expression, viewer enjoyment, arts education and community enrichment.  Both the Cultural Arts Alliance and Enter Stage Left Theater are part of the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, whose mission is to provide a multi-media arts facility that will allow a collaboration of individuals and organizations to create and present quality visual and performing arts, arts education and events.   For more information about the CAA call 508-435-9222 or visit www.caahop.org.
