Palmatier, Chisholm Advance to Track and Field All-States

Vickie Palmatier placed second in the girls shot put, while Cam Chisholm took fourth in the boys shot in the Division 3 Championships Saturday.

Shot putters Vickie Palmatier and Cam Chisholm finished second and fourth in their respective competitions at the Division 3 Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center Saturday.

Palmatier threw 36 feet, 5.25 inches, while Chisholm heaved 46-10.75, both moving on to All-States next Saturday (Reggie Lewis Center, 11 a.m.).

The Panthers had three other top-10 placings as senior Evan Reseka came in eighth in the boys 2-mile (9:59.02), junior Rachel Everett finished in a five-way tie for eighth in the girls high jump (4-10) and junior Jill Rosati came in ninth in the girls mile (5:35.36).

Also for the Holliston boys, senior Ben Moody placed 13th in the 1000 (2:42.17), while senior Trevor Alper was 15th in the dash (7.03 seconds), junior Devin Sanford placed 17th in the 300 (38.89) and senior Zack Snow came in 17th in the 600 (1:28.09). Senior Alex Greenberg finished 19th in the long jump (18-03.50), while seniors Josh McLinden (hurdles, 8.60) and Andrew Mysliwiec (mile, 4:55.01) both placed 22nd in their events.

For the girls, Kendra Costello came in 11th in the 300 (43.53).
