Duke was found living outside with no shelter and little interaction with others. A kind, caring person drove them here all the way from North Carolina so he and his pal Foxy would find the perfect home. Duke is a super-friendly dog who loves to run, play, and jump to exhibit his enthusiasm. He’d good with other dogs. We’ve also discovered he’s quite a cuddle bug & is quite happy to curl up on your lap.
He would benefit from lots of exercise and some obedience training, but he mainly just loves attention. Duke’s NC foster person feels he would be an affectionate, fun pal for older children, and would do well as part of an active family.
He can’t live with cats, birds, or small furries. He can’t help it, since he was bred and used for hunting. This playful pup does have some escape-artist tendencies, so his new family should be prepared to supervise him, even in a fenced yard.
