Panther Wrestlers Win Sectional Title
Junior Mike Lemiuex's rousing victory at 145 pounds gave Holliston a 31-29 victory over Wayland in the title match.

All season long, the Holliston wrestling team thought it had the horses to dethrone Wayland as Division 3 Central champions.
On Saturday at Hudson High, the Panthers proved themselves right.
Junior 145-pounder Mike Lemiuex won the decisive bout to give Holliston a 31-29 victory over Wayland. Lemiuex went 2-1 on the day but scored a 13-9 decision in the most important clash of the day, delivering the Panthers' first sectional title in program history.

After shutting out Dedham, 57-0, and nipping Tri-County, 35-31, to reach the title match, the Panthers fell into a 26-15 hole against Wayland. But Holliston finished on a 16-3 run, capped by Lemiuex's resounding victory.
Seniors Larry Enright (112) and Harry Freudenberger (119) each went 2-0 with two pins, while senior captain Tim Garry claimed an 11-3 over his 125-pound Wayland opponent in the championship match.
