Patrick Murphy Named April Artist of the Month

Earlier this week, sophomore Patrick Murphy was selected as the Artist of the Month for April.

Murphy hand-crafted two ceramic projects: a planter using slab building construction and a seed pod sculpture. Murphy painted the planter bright orange with a light blue glaze, while the seed pod was done with brown and acrylic paint.

"In both projects Patrick successfully demonstrated specific hand-building    techniques and a knowledge of design elements color, form and texture," said Murphy's teacher Matt Blood.
