Man Fleeing Troopers Struck On 495 In Hopkinton: Police
The suspect suffered serious injuries, police said.

HOPKINTON, MA — A man who was trying to flee state troopers when he crashed his car on I-495 was struck by another vehicle as he tried to run across the highway. The suspect, a 27-year-old Billerica man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
State police said a the man was driving his Tahoe about 100 miles per hour on I-495 South in Marlborough, according to a driver who called police. Police tried to pull him over, but the man refused until he crashed into the center median south of Exit 21 in Hopkinton, according to police.
The suspect, who was the only one in the vehicle, took off over the wooded median toward the northbound lanes. He was struck moments later by two vehicles, one driven by a 56-year-old Medway man and another by a 67-year-old Westford man.

Three lanes were closed for hours, reopening around 9:20 p.m.
