Pleasure Point Closed Due to High Bacteria

The beach was shut down Tuesday after Monday's test exceeded the acceptable level of E. coli.

According to the Town of Holliston's website, 's beach was closed Tuesday afternoon because of a high bacteria count.

After conducting its weekly test Monday morning, the found the beach had 800 colonies of E. coli bacteria per 100 millileter, far exceeding the 235 colony/per 100 mL limit.

Those results came back Tuesday afternoon and the beach was closed indefinitely. The has posted "No Swimming" signs as necessary.

Pleasure Point was re-tested Tuesday with the results expected on Wednesday.

Stoddard Park, meanwhile, tested within an acceptable level and is still open.
