Police Log: Four 18-Year-Olds Arrested on Alcohol Charges

Friday, March 9

3:15 a.m.: An officer checked a tractor-trailer that was parked at the High School. The operator was waiting to make a delivery down the street.

7:37 a.m.: A caller from Fruit Street reported that a car hit his mailbox while he was out.

10:03 a.m.: A caller complained about an erratic driver on South Street. An officer checked the area but could not find the vehicle in question.

11:36 a.m.: A police officer assisted the with revoking a fire permit from a person on Wood Street.

4:08 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle that was parked on the sidewalk on Ash Street. An officer was unable to find the vehicle.

6:31 p.m.: An officer checked a low-hanging wire on Chestnut Street and notified Verizon.

9:35 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Main Street. Kevin J. Coskie, 18, of 14 Farrar Rd., Upton, Stephen Michael Fitzpatrick II, 18, of 3 Resevoir Ln., Upton and Jacob Mark Satow, 18, of 140 Main St., Upton, were arrested and charged possession of a class D substance, possession of a class E substance and minor in possession of alcohol. Satow was additionally charged with speeding.

Saturday, March 10

12:50 a.m.: An officer checked a motor vehicle parked on Lakeshore Drive.

4:04 a.m.: A caller from Pond Street reported that a vehicle hit a utility pole in front of his house. William T. Bernier, 18, of 2 Leonard St. was the driver and was arrested and charged with a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and drunken driving.

9:54 a.m.: A 911 caller from Kimball Road reported a chimney fire.

10:01 a.m.: A 911 caller reported a brush fire on Lumber Street. When an officer arrived with the Fire Department they found out that it was a permitted fire.

10:21 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist that ran out of as on West Main Street.

Sunday, March 11

12:30 p.m.: assisted the Massachusetts State Police with the . A dog and helicopter were called in to search for the suspect who lost a shoe.

4:35 p.m.: A caller from Downey Place reported that they returned home from a vacation and found that jewelry was missing from his house.

6:18 p.m.: A caller reported illegal dumping of several trash bags in a wetlands area of Kerry Lane. The DPW was contacted and asked to pick up the trash in the area.

6:34 p.m.: A caller from Saddle Hill reported a noise complaint. An officer checked the house in question and reported that it was a small get together and the music wasn’t very loud.

7:29 p.m.: A caller from Pond Street reported that they saw a person fitting the description of the man that fled from State Police earlier. After a brief foot pursuit officers arrested Kevin Gonzalez, 31, of  341 North Quincy St., Brockton, on charges of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and failure to stop.
