Police Log: Kids on School Roof, Staggering Men

Wednesday, March 14

12:53 a.m.: A came upon a person on Wood Street who found an injured cat. The person was going to bring the cat to Tufts.

3:58 p.m.: A caller from Wood Street reported that a cease and desist order was broken. A log entry was taken.

4:05 p.m.: An officer came upon a crash on West Main Street. No injuries were reported but both vehicles were towed.

4:34 p.m.: An officer checked a motor vehicle on Wood Street. The officer spoke to the operator about the status of the vehicle’s registration. The operator reported that it was newly purchased.

5:00 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a crash on Pleasant Street. No injuries were reported but both cars were towed.

6:15 p.m.: A caller reported suspicious males outside an empty house on Cedar Street. The men were landscapers who were working there.

6:30 p.m.: An officer spoke with a motor vehicle operator on Hayden Rowe Street.

11:57 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic driver headed toward the center of town on East Main Street. An officer followed the vehicle and didn’t observe any issues.

Thursday, March 15

5:15 a.m.: Two large trees fell on Clinton Street. An officer stood by while the DPW responded.

6:28 a.m.: A worker from West Main Street reported that it appeared the building was broken in to over night and sprayed the fire extinguishers.

8:32 a.m.: An officer assisted the and NStar with a .

12:49 p.m.: A caller reported a large can leaking in the roadway on Hayden Rowe Street. An officer responded.

1:38 p.m.: A person walked in to the Police Department to file a report of fraud.

4:27 p.m.: A person reported a man “staggering” on Winter Street. An officer responded but could not find the man in question.

6:28 p.m.: A person reported seeing a man “stumbling” on East Main Street. An officer checked the area but was unable to find the man.

8:46 p.m.: The State Police reported that a small child was walking alone on Cedar Street near Carbone’s Restaurant. An officer located the person who was an adult. The officer transported the person to Milford.

9:12 p.m.: A caller from Gibbon Road complained about a barking dog. An officer spoke to the owners.

Friday, March 16

3:55 a.m.: A caller from Lincoln Street awoke to the sound of someone rattling her door. An officer spoke with both residents but found everything in order.

2:57 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a crash on Main Street.

4:26 p.m.: A cell-phone caller reported two vehicles that appeared to be “rat racing.” An officer found the vehicles on West Main Street. One was pulled over; the other fled the scene. The officer had the second driver report to the Police Department.

10:34 p.m.: A Massachusetts State Police dispatcher reported receiving a 911 call from a cell phone in the Indianbrook Road area. The caller said “Hopkinton Police Department” and then hung up. Officers checked the area and found kids on the roof of the Elmwood School. While they were checking the caller was determined and the Hopkinton officers spoke with them.
