Police Log: Missing child, Assault Arrest

Wednesday, April 4
12:22 a.m.: An officer checked on two people in a vehicle on Lakeshore Drive. A third person was in a second vehicle in the same area but they were unrelated.
2:09 a.m.: A worker for the reported a male wearing a block hoodie and blue jeans came out of an alley on to Main Street but ran the other direction when he saw the worker. Officers checked the area but did not find the person in question.

9:06 a.m.: A person from Appaloosa Circle went in to to report threats. An officer spoke with the person.
11:41 a.m.: Karen Ann McDermott, 47, 36 Blueberry Lane, was arrested on a warrant of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The warrant was issued on April 3.

1:30 p.m.: HPD assisted the Ashland Police Department with an incident.
2:34 p.m.: A pedestrian told a detail officer on Wood Street about the scent of natural gas in the area. responded.
2:40 p.m.: A person walked in to the station to report suspicious activity outside of his Main Street store.
2:57 p.m.: A caller reported a car crash on Hayden Rowe Street. One of the vehicle operators was reportedly unlicensed. Officers took a report.
3:28 p.m.: A caller reported a three-car crash on route 495. Hopkinton police officers responded and assisted the state police with traffic control. There were also several minor crashes associated with the incident.
5:16 p.m.: A caller from Trailside Road reported that she could not find her 12-year-old son with a disability. When officers responded a neighbor had found and returned the boy.
10:34 p.m.: A caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported that her car window was smashed and several items were stolen.
11:11 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle on Main Street that needed to be evaluated. The vehicle was stopped by Upton police officers and the operator was OK.
