Police Log: Multiple Storm Related Crashes

Thursday, March 1
1:28 a.m.: An officer removed a tree branch that was in the roadway on Spring Street.
6:49 a.m.: received a 911 call about a 2-car crash on Fruit Street. No injuries were reported; an officer stood by until the vehicles were towed.

7:06 a.m.: A caller reported a 2-car crash on Ash Street. No injuries were reported but a winch was needed to pull a car out of the woods.
7:33 a.m.: A 2-car crash was reported on Spring Street. No injuries were reported but one car did need to be winched out of the woods.

7:59 a.m.: A caller reported a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street. An officer stood by until a tow truck arrived.
8:13 a.m.: A 911 caller reported a car was off the roadway on Fruit Street near the fields.
8:34 a.m.: A caller reported a low hanging wire on Curtis Road. Verizon was notified.
9:31 a.m.: A Department of Public Works worker reported cars were parked on both sides of Church Street. The vehicles were moved before an officer arrived.
11:00 a.m.: An officer installed a car seat at the station.
3:14 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a rollover crash in Ashland. The Ashland Police Department was notified and responded.
3:42 p.m.: A person walked in to the station to report a hit and run from Tuesday.
4:01 p.m.: A caller from a Main Street business reported that a private plow truck was pushing snow in to her business parking lot. An officer spoke to the plow driver and warned him against doing that.
4:08 p.m.: A caller reported that she had slid off the roadway on East Main Street and was stuck.
4:14 p.m.: The police department received multiple 911 calls about a vehicle that hit a tree on East Main Street. The jaws of life were needed to extract one person from the car and they were taken to the hospital.
4:21 p.m.: The police department received multiple 911 calls about a crash on Main Street. The people involved refused transport to the hospital.
5:25 p.m.: A caller reported a road rage type incident on West Main Street. An officer responded and checked the area.
7:12 p.m.: A caller reported a disabled motor vehicle on the West Main Street hill. A tow truck was called for the vehicle.
