Police Log: Stolen iPods, Illegal Dumping

Monday, Feb. 27
12:36 a.m.: An officer checked a car that was parked in the pull off by the cemetery on Wilson Street.
7:53 a.m.: A person walked in to to report a car that was parked on the West Main Street hill and the operator was picking up cans out of trash barrels on the other side of the road. An officer checked the area but could not find the person.

8:54 a.m.: A business on East Street reported that several bags of trash were dumped on their property. When an officer responded he saw eight to ten bags and requested the Highway Department respond to pick them up.
1:21 p.m.: A caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported that several iPods had been stolen from cars in their driveway.

5:00 p.m.: A resident from Saddle Hill Road reported receiving harassing phone calls.
7:39 p.m.: A resident of Mayhew Street reported a suspicious vehicle parked inside the cemetery. An officer spoke with the operator who moved along.
