POLL: Do You Support the MBTA Service Cuts?

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority has proposed service cuts and fare increases that could affect MetroWest commuters.

Tough economic times have been hitting the country for several years, and commuters aren’t getting spared any of the cost.

Most recently The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) proposed a rate increase as well as a service cut.

According to Boston.com hundreds of people gathered at the Boston Public Library to speak out against the cuts.

“Under terms of the proposal, the T would raise subway fares by up to 70 cents and dramatically cut bus routes, eliminate ferries, and end weekend commuter rail trains. The plan was unveiled last month to help erase a projected $161 million deficit for the fiscal year beginning in July,” the article said.
