Moms' Dream gives Hopkinton's Kids a Bouncy Play Space

Patch visits with PlayTown Express' Kathleen Petzold and Amy Casey.

How many years have you been in business? How did you get started? We opened the facility in December 2007. Kathleen, who adopted her daughter Victoria at 3-months-old in July of 2005, was a single mom working at EMC. She wanted more than anything to be a hands-on mom and was searching for the right business where she could do what she loves; work with children, including her own.

Amy had provided daycare in her home so she could be with her children, and the idea of a play center seemed a natural progression. "I always had a dream of starting my own business; incorporating my love of children and my business knowledge.

Do you live in town? Amy lives in Upton and Kathleen lives in Cumberland, RI but has family in Hopkinton and worked at EMC for 9 years prior to opening PlayTown Express.
