Renew and Revitalize Yourself with Yoga Nidra
Revitalize body, mind and spirit with a Yoga Nidra workshop on Thursday, Aug 27, 7-8:15pm at SOHUM Yoga and Meditation Studio, sohum.org

Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious deep sleep. It is a wakeful state of deep introversion and a powerful relaxation technique. One hour of effective yoga nidra is said to be equivalent to 3-4 hours of sleep. It can go deep into the subconscious and “undo” old patterns and habits. Body, mind and spirit benefit from this practice. Body and breath awareness are fostered through guided instructions while lying on your back or side. A small pillow and blanket are suggested.

Deb (Newman) McGonnell, RYT-500, has been teaching yoga for almost 15 years and practicing for almost 20. She has taught many workshops on Yoga Nidra and experiences many of the benefits herself. In this workshop, we will warm up and gently stretch the body in preparation for the guided Yoga Nidra practice.
