gave both Police Chief, Richard Flannery and Fire Chief, Kenneth Clark high marks on their performance reviews last night. Both men received a rating of above satisfactory plus; the fourth of five categories on a five point scale.

"You have done an outstanding job ( Richard)  and we look forward to a very successful future with you as chief," Selectmen Michelle Gates said.

Going forward the Board of Selectmen would like to see more of the chief as his boss; simply because it's hard to review what they don't know.

The selectmen also had great things to say about Clark.

"You are the guy we want to see first on the scene of anything that has gone wrong," Cestari said. "We would; however, like to see you focus on some of your areas of weakness with more training or mentoring."

"I've always said you're the first guy I want to see on the scene because you are good at getting the job done," Benjamin Palleiko, selectmen said. " You're not an administrator, but I don't think that detracts."

In other news, the selectmen signed a lease for a 12 passenger van for the senior center, eliminating the need for the $ 55 thousand appropriated at town meeting in May for transportation. This is thanks to a grant.

"The only cost we will incur is fuel, repair and insurance," Town Manager, Norman Khumalo said.
