Alee Leteria: We have had 2 games so far, and it is going pretty well. We beat Dover-Sherborn and lost to Medfield. Our loss to Medfield wasn't our best game. I don't think that we played to our full potential.

Since this interview, the girl's basketball team has won two more games and is now 3-1. They play tonight  against Bellingham at 6:30 p.m.

Patch: When did you start playing basketball?

Leteria: I started playing basketball at a very young age. My dad taught me to play basketball and practiced with me all the time. He was and is a very good athlete. He played basketball in college at Cal State along with baseball. He has been my biggest influence.

Patch: What are your goals this season?

Leteria: This season I would like us to beat Medfield as they are our biggest rivals and always give us a run. With our teams potential, we could go far. We have hopes of winning it all.

Patch: What has been your most memorable moment?

Leteria: My most memorable moment was last year, when in front of our families and friends. It was very exciting.

Patch: If you had to give up sports, what would be your passion?

Leteria: I enjoy and plan to study physical therapy, speech and occupational therapy. I went through an injury to my knee last year and was out for four months. Although I spent a lot of time in physical therapy and missed half of the season, I was able to come back and felt even stronger.

Patch: How do you train in the off-season?

Leteria: I go to ABT in the off-season and all year round. I have played AAU in the fall and spring throughout all 4-years in high school.

Patch: What advice would you give to younger student athletes?

Leteria: Have fun and enjoy the game. Just be yourself and enjoy spending time with your friends. Try to set an example on and off the court.

Patch: What are your plans for next year?

Leteria: I will be attending Stonehill College and playing basketball.
