Teens Had Sex At Crowded Cape Cod Beach: Police
Four teenagers were arrested at a crowded Cape Cod beach July 4 after engaging in sex acts in the water, police said.

DENNIS, MA – Some rather risqué fireworks started a bit early on one crowded Cape Cod beach on the Fourth of July. Four teenagers were arrested after allegedly engaging in sex acts in the water, according to the Dennis Police Department. The aftermath was documented in a video that has since gone viral, with a crowd chanting "USA! USA!" surrounding police and suspects.
Officers said the teens smelled of alcohol, the Cape Cod Times reported. The Times identified the suspects as two females from Penfield, New York, one 19 and one 18 years old, and a 19-year-old male from Vermont. An 18-year-old male from Hopkinton was also arrested for refusing to comply with police requests to leave the area.
According to police, a Dennis detective was approached by a beach monitor at Mayflower Beach who said he had been told people were allegedly having sex in the water. The detective found the two women, one of the men and a 17-year-old male "embraced with one another" about 100 feet from shore, police records cited by the Times stated. He could not tell exactly what was happening but wrote that the couples were at a minimum embracing, kissing and stumbling in the waves.

The teens did not respond to the detective's yells or a lifeguard's whistle, and came to shore when a second lifeguard went into the water to retrieve them. The four allegedly smelled of alcohol and were slurring their speech, but denied any wrongdoing. They were placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.
