The Hopkinton Women's Club Kicks Off A New Year
The Hopkiniton Women's Club begins a new year filled with activities.
On Monday, September 19th, hosted their first meeting of the year at the .
New and existing members were welcomed with a delicious array of coffee, tea, muffins and fresh fruit.
The Women's Club is a nonprofit national organization whose objective is to promote social and educational culture among its members and service to the community.

The club's commitment to the town is reflected in its many volunteer efforts.
Some of their projects include:

- Publishing the Community Register and Telephone Directory.
- Sponsoring Project H.O.P.E., an ongoing collection of food, clothing, toys, and other necessary items that are distributed in town to those in need.
- Assisting at local blood drives and flu clinics.
- Supporting the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton.
- Providing monetary donations to other local organizations such as Bay Path Humane Society, HEF foundation, Hopkinton Community Endowment fund, MetroWest Y.M.C.A., One Wish program, Hopkinton Boosters, and many others.
The meetings include a social time with light fare, business meeting, and an interesting program.
Hopkinton newcomer, Annette Proudman said, " I joined the group because it was a wonderful way to meet people and socialize."
"The group is so friendly and we participate in many diverse and interesting activities," she continued.
Meetings are held at the Faith Community Church, formerly FCCH, 146 E. Main Street, Hopkinton on Oct 17, Nov 14, Jan 16, Feb 13, March 12, and April 9.
The November meeting includes a silent auction and luncheon. In May, the group treats itself to a special lunch and program at an area restaurant.
Hopkinton Women's Club President, Jane Anderson said, " We have a wonderful group and we always have fun providing service to our community."
New members are welcome at any time during the year.
