Tondorf 9 Champions!

The Hopkinton, Tondorf nine-year old division clinches the championship title by sweeping Medway in two decisive games.

Led by Coach Larry Epstein, the team battled its' way into the Tondorf playoffs with fast bats, intelligent base running and effective fielding.

The championship tournament was a best two out of three series, held July 19 and 20. The winning game was held at Cassidy Field in Medway.

The team secured a commanding victory in the first game, with a score of 7-1.

On July 20, the team rallied from a 4-2 deficit by scoring 7 runs in the bottom half of the 5th inning and shut out Medway in the top of the 6th inning to secure the 9-4 victory.

"This team is very special to me," an overwhelmed Coach Epstein said. "I am proud of each and every one of the boys."

The boys proudly held up their trophies in celebration of a hard-fought season.
