Water and Sewer Rates to Go Up, New Pizza Shop, Trail Names: Hopkinton Board Votes

The Hopkinton Board of Selectmen on Tuesday approved a license for a new pizza place, and two new trail names.

HOPKINTON, MA—Selectmen on Tuesday tackled an agenda that included more than ten agenda items, including naming trails, approving a common victualler license for a new pizza place, and approval of new water and sewer rates for residents.

A common victualler license was approved for Petros Sismanis, who is opening Hiller's Pizza at 77 West Main St. in Hopkinton.

The northern section on the town's Fruit Street property will now be known as the Mary C. O'Brien Pratt Trail, and the trail loop off the center trail will be known as the Welzel Trail.

An increase of two percent is coming to residents' water rates, and a 3.7 percent increase to sewer rates, effective July 1.
