SOHUM is starting a new Wisdom Workshop series to introduce theory and practice of some of the wisdom traditions of the world. The first of these is on Buddha's Satipatthana Sutta, or the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. The Satipatthana Sutta is Buddha's most comprehensive teaching on mindfulness as a direct path to liberation. It introduces the techniques commonly used in mindfulness meditation today.
In this workshop we will explore the first of the 4 foundations, mindfulness of the body. We will delve into the content of the discourse (sutta) and also practice some of the mindfulness techniques taught by the Buddha in this discourse.
