4 Arrested, 600+ Grams Of Opiates Seized In Jamaica Plain Drug Bust

Heroin, fentanyl and cash were recovered following a month-long investigation.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA – Police arrested four and seized more than 600 grams of opiates Saturday in Jamaica Plain during a month-long investigation into drug trafficking in the Forbes Street area. More than 400 grams of heroin, 250 grams of fentanyl and $4,945 in cash were recovered, police said.

The following people were taken into custody without incident, according to police:

Angel Martinez, 49, of Roxbury

Pablo Baez, 32, of Jamaica Plain

Carlos Melendez, 28, of Jamaica Plain

Maylelin Ramirez-Tejeda, 32, of Jamaica Plain

The four suspects face multiple charges, including trafficking Class A and Class B drugs, possession of Class B drugs with intent to distribute and distribution of Class B drugs.
