826 Boston's Half Half Half Half Half Marathon raises more than $35,000
Organization provides free writing, tutoring, and publishing services to Boston youth
On a sunny but chilly evening of April 16 at Jamaica Pond, more than 250 runners, walkers, and wheelers showed up (many in costume!) ready to break a light sweat for youth literacy!
Now in its tenth year, 826 Boston hosted the Half Half Half Half Half Marathon, the 0.826-mile race that supports our free writing, tutoring, and publishing programs while bringing the community together for a fun-filled evening.
Boston City Councilor Benjamin Weber helped kick off the festivities. Prizes were awarded to the top individual fundraiser, top fundraising team, race finisher, closest time to 8:26, best costume, and best finish line pose.
