ALLEN J. WORTERS MEMORIAL LECTURE "Intermarriage and Gender in Contemporary American Jewish Life" Dr. Keren R. McGinity

ALLEN J. WORTERS MEMORIAL LECTURE "Intermarriage and Gender in Contemporary American Jewish Life" Dr. Keren R. McGinity Sunday, November 9

This talk will chart the ways in which intermarriage has changed over time, how gender influences the meaning and experience of intermarriage, and what we know about intermarried Jewish men and women. Based on twenty years of research about Jews and identity, Dr. McGinity will share her findings to dismantle assumptions and dispel myths, offering instead a new paradigm for understanding interfaith relationships and parenting. There will be a lively Q & A and Dr. McGinity will sign copies of her new book, Marrying Out: Jewish Men, Intermarriage and Fatherhood. Books are available for purchase in the temple office for $23.
(approximately 20% off the retail price)
