Boston Police Officer Accused of Leaving Crash Scene
He reportedly crashed into a backhoe and fled from his vehicle.

A Boston Police lieutenant is on administrative leave after authorities said he fled his Nissan truck after it crashed into a backhoe.
Boston.com reported that the incident occurred early Wednesday morning. Lt. John Earley reportedly left his damaged truck in the middle of the road after crashing into the backhoe near Spring and Baker streets in West Roxbury.

Earley is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and property damage, according to WCVB.
Police said the backhoe operator was not injured in the crash.
