It's Gay Pride Day in Boston

Gay Pride Day in Boston.

The annual gay pride parade got underway in the Back Bay and South End on Saturday, June 9 at noontime.  The weather was splendid as the sun shone on colorful floats, tour buses, a marching band and lots of city and state officials.  Leading the parade was a sitting Mayor Tom Menino in a convertible and Governor Deval Patrick right behind.  City Councilors Mike Ross, Matt O'Malley, Tito Jackson, John Connolly and Ayanna Pressley all made their presence known as the crowd cheered them on.  Also marching was candidate for the senate Elizabeth Warren.  A gay old time was had by all attending.
