Security Cameras to be Installed at Jackson Square MBTA Station
The security cameras would be aimed to deter assaults that have been occurring in this particular area of Jamaica Plain.

Dear Editor:
This summer, there have been an increasing number of assaults in the near the stop. As of today, there have been at least 12 assaults in this particular area. Consequently, many of my constituents have called me to express that they feel that it is important to install security cameras near Jackson Square MBTA station to document criminal activity and as a result hopefully deter crime.
Working alongside District E-13 and the MBTA Transit Police, I am pleased to announce that there will be cameras installed near Jackson Square MBTA station by August 2011.

More than ever, with the installation of these cameras, I still believe that we all must continue to work together to reduce crime. I would like to continue to see the clear, passionate, hands- on commitment from all community members to deter crime in our community.
