The Cat's Meow opens tonight

The Footlight Club presentation of The Cat's Meow opens June 5 at 8:00 p.m.

The Cat’s Meow is based on the true story of a 1924 Hollywood murder aboard William Randolph Hearst’s yacht. Guests on board include Charlie Chaplin, movie star Marion Davies, and movie mogul Thomas Ince.

The show features many Jamaica Plain residents including Liz Laneri as Margaret, Frances Price as Elinor, Kosta Demos as George, Rob Guptill as Willicombe, Carol Pyper at a maid, Karen Wepsic as a maid, and Conor Kenney as the steward.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. June 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 2015.
