Matt O'Malley will take part in run on June 27.

Boston City Councilor Matt O’Malley is aiming to combine his constituent duties with cardiovascular fitness in an “Office Hours” run in June.

O’Malley is urging Jamaica Plain residents to join him for the run on Saturday, June 27 at 9 a.m. All runners of any ability are invited to meet him across from the Stony Brook MBTA station.

While on the run, O’Malley hopes residents will inform him of various problems in area. He’s hoping to discuss ways to address any issues that are brought to his attention.

“Jamaica Plain is one of my favorite places to run. It’s even better when I am joined by neighbors who care about the community. I hope residents will join me and show me the potholes, the sidewalks that need repair, and the traffic trouble spots.”

The Forest Hills Running club is partnering with O’Malley for his Jamaica Plain office hours.
