Egleston Square Stabbing Sends One Woman to Hospital

A woman suffered "non life-threatening wounds" police say, and was being treated at Boston Medical Center.

A woman was cut on the arm during a fight with another woman at 7 Cleaves St. near Egleston Square on Tuesday, police said.

The woman was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment of "non life-threatening wounds," said police spokesperson David Estrada. The incident took place about 6:30 p.m.

Scanner traffic had referred to a "guy covered in blood and carrying a knife" near New York Fried Chicken.

It was a bad day for stabbings in the city as a whole, with three people wounded, one fatally, in a Dudley Square incident.
