Tuesday Night Club is pleased to host Anita Thapa, President of Youth Initiative, a youth-led leadership development organization located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Anita is in Boston for a 4-month international fellowship sponsored by the U.S. State Department. She will be speaking about Nepal's rich history and culture as well as her work to promote peace, democracy, and human rights.

Anita will be discussing Nepal’s history, culture, religion, people, and politics. She will also be sharing her stories and photos of everyday life in Kathmandu, the Himalayas, and terai and hilly farm regions.Anita will also be talking about her exciting work with youth. There will also be time for Q & A. Anita Thapa is President of a youth led organization located in Nepal, Youth Initiative, which works on issues of human rights, democratization, governance, peace building and civic leadership. She completed her Masters Degree in Business Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in Women Studies. Anita is a proven leader and change maker who has shared her skills and knowledge with thousands of other young people working toward peace after a long period of conflict and civil war in Nepal.

Anita is working in Boston as part of the Community Solutions Program, an international fellowship sponsored by the U.S. State Department. During her 4-month stay here, she is working at the Civic Ed Project, a non-profit organization that supports youth civic engagement and learning in schools.
