The holiday ceremonies today kick off with a performance by local musician Rick Berlin at the Civil War Monument at 1:30 p.m.  Later, the Mayor's Holiday Trolley, along with Santa, reindeer and refreshments, will make two stops in Jamaica Plain for tree lighting ceremonies.  The tour is scheduled to arrive at the Civil War Monument at 2 pm. and in Hyde Square at 2:45 p.m.  (Attendees are encouraged to arrive at the festivities early for treats.)
